The trouble is, he threw around a bunch of ideas that (despite infuriating me) he actually has very little power over. He is still only one vote. Not to mention he can’t just say “ok, no more unions”. It doesn’t work like that. But those kind of statements appeal to people and I worry he will get for elected for the wrong reasons, and to do the wrong thing for the city.

I appreciate a debate, and I appreciate ideas but I wish it wasn’t always opposite ideas to win votes. How about a strong candidate who really wants Toronto to be better for everyone instead of just commuters from Oakville?

Initially when I read the media reports after Rossi’s speech I was taken aback by some of his ideas. But then, his website posted a full video of his speech and after viewing I thought he made alot more sense.

The other thing I like is that he’s actually saying something, whereas the other candidates are missing in action insofar as making any statements on platform/policy.

Come on everyone; let’s get the debate started!
