Peaceful Protests in Toronto

As I watch the carnage at Bay and King in Toronto right now, I just hope that people understand that “anarchists” are not the same as “protesters.”  I spent the morning watching thousands of peaceful protesters march for issues that matter to them.  But what will be remembered now is the violence.

So in honour of the people who protest in peace, here are some peaceful pictures.

  1. As a protester you enable these people. They’re there because you are there. The “peaceful” demonstrates should stop them. The police have been more than tolerant up to this point.

    1. I’m not a protester, Larry. But I support them.

I wouldn’t want to live in a place where people couldn’t disagree with the government. Democracy isn’t just about elections.

As for enabling them, that’s the kind of small-minded bullshit that I worried about. There is a massive difference between 100 violent people and the other 9900 people who marched the street with signs. Massive. No one is enabling the violent people except for maybe the other people committing violence.
